People with anxiety don’t have a train of thought. We have 7 trains on 4 different tracks that narrowly avoid each other when the paths cross, and all the conductors are screaming.

You can not see anxiety, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there and not real. Anxiety is cruel, invasive and, if severe, can control your life. Anxiety takes us away from being able to live in the moment and enjoy life.

Anxiety is a feeling of unease, worry, or fear which most of us experience at some point. It can be a natural emotional response to an upcoming event in the future such as a job interview, visiting the dentist, or a flight on a plane. Anxiety becomes an issue when it starts to control us, becomes more persistent, and has a detrimental impact on our daily lives.

Anxiety is an inner turmoil that can affect us emotionally through intrusive thoughts, overthinking, or feelings of dread. Physical symptoms can manifest as panic attacks, shaking, loss of appetite, not being able to sleep, and feeling nauseated. If left unchallenged or avoided anxiety can become stronger, more intense, and slowly start to take over.

Many people suffer from anxiety yet it is not something that is widely and openly spoken about and the impact is often underestimated or mis-understood. Hiding anxiety and keeping silent only helps it grow.

In a safe environment, I’d like to hear you give your anxiety a voice. Together we can explore where it has come from. I’ll help to empower you to take back control, allowing you to control the anxiety so it no longer controls you, then you can live life as full as you wish.
